Beyond the Code

Violets Project

A global, community-led initiative bringing nervous system and wellbeing tools to children in underserved communities around the world.

Violets Project is named for my grandmother Violet, whose passing in 2020 was the moment that drew the curtain and changed everything.

The work is simple and stubborn: take the same practices that help a child in a private session — breath, awareness, naming what's happening in the body — and carry them into classrooms and community spaces where that kind of support has never been offered.

Every child deserves to feel safe in their own home — their body.

If you run a school, a community programme, or an organisation working with children and would like to bring these tools into your space, get in touch through the contact page and mention your organisation.

From survival to stability

I've been teaching the Code Violet methodology at an underserved border school, where children come to escape conflict in their villages in Myanmar. The teachers are onboarded too, with a manual so the programme continues in my absence — because consistency is key.

Resilience in the face of trauma is harder to reach when a community is struggling to meet basic needs. We've given the next generation the tools; now we want to help build the stable ground beneath them.

Help Ajarn Tete grow a farm that feeds Karen children

Funds go towards a reliable system and irrigation for Ajarn Tete's farm, and paying the right workers to get it running. Once it runs consistently, the farm will sustain the orphanage, the surrounding village and the border school.

For charities and nonprofit organisations

An in-person partnership with lasting roots

My original programme with children in India ran for 8 weeks, meeting once per week. I have since developed the method into the 5-day programme I offer institutions today.

I partner with charitable and nonprofit organisations to bring five days of in-person classes into schools and community spaces — one hour a day with the students, followed by a one-hour teacher session. Children learn practical ways to feel safe, grow confidence, and deepen their connection to themselves. I leave the full instruction manual, with monthly licensing for the online e-book toolkit or soft-cover booklet so the learning can continue.

$2,000 raised

Our previous six-week fundraiser raised $2,000 for school needs — a working proof of what a community partnership can make possible.

Mats for children

Fundraising can provide yoga mats alongside practical support identified by the school.

Explore an institutional partnership

If your charity or nonprofit supports children and schools, tell me where you work and what your community needs. We can explore programme delivery and a fundraising pathway together. I am open to discussing longer partnership opportunities with NGOs.
